Duff is top man in Spurs draw

Last updated : 09 April 2015 By Tony Scholes

It's his first man of the match win this season; his last one came for his performance in the 1-0 win at Bolton last season. For the Spurs game he polled 32.3% of the vote, ahead of Ashley Barnes who finished second with a 21.4% share.

It's a look down the right hand side of the pitch for the next two places with Kieran Trippier winning 15.6% to take third place and George Boyd coming fourth with 7.8% of the vote.

The top two were the same in the player ratings with Duff on top with a rating of 8.04 out of 10 and a rating of 7.67 winning Barnes second place.

The next two differ, however, from the vote with Jason Shackell third with a rating of 7.62 and 7.38 out of 10 winning fourth place for David Jones.

The result gives Duff the maximum of ten points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with Barnes winning six points, both Shackell and Trippier getting two points and one point each for Boyd and Jones.

Added to the table, it leaves Danny Ings with a 17 point lead at the top, but it is very close for the next places. Boyd and Shackell share second place with Barnes now just two points behind them.

There are seven games left to decide who will be the 2014/15 player of the year with the next vote starting on Saturday evening for the Arsenal game.
