Dual role for Dobbo

Dobson, who spent virtually five seasons with the Goodison Park club, will be making the half time draw in front of supporters of his two former clubs before joining representatives from Clarets Mad who will be presenting him with a cheque.

Simon Doyle and Paul Young, two supporters of the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation, will be down on the touchline at half time to hand over a cheque for £10,000 which enabled the club to send teams to three tournaments this summer, including the prestigious Northern Ireland Milk Cup.

The fundraising has now passed £30,000 with Dobbo, only last week, joining manager Owen Coyle and chief exec Paul Fletcher at the latest fundraising event.

But before the cheque presentation, Dobbo will be in the centre circle for the half time draw and he is assured a superb reception from all parts of the ground. I know the Everton fans will remember him, unlike the visiting fans on Wednesday who seemed to have no idea who one of their champion winning players was.
