Driver wants move

The first offer was believed to be £500,000 but Clarets assistant boss Sandy Stewart revealed over the weekend that we'd upped that offer only for Hearts to turn us down again. And with Driver speaking positively last week about a return to pre-season training with the Tynecastle club it wasn't looking too positive.

However, this mornings reports suggest the Oldham born Driver wants to come back to England and is ready to hand in a transfer request at the SPL club. How Hearts will respond to that is anyone's guess but it will surely interest Burnley who were almost hinting at pulling out after the second offer was turned down.

Now 20, Driver has spent all of his career to date with Hearts after moving from local football in the south of Scotland. Despite moving there with his family he now wants to return and Burnley must be one of the favourites should they accept his request given that he's from the north west originally.
