Driver still in the front seat

The news from Edinburgh this week would suggest not. Driver has been speaking about his future and has said he's heard nothing and is all ready for his pre-season and helping to get Hearts off to a good start this coming season. However, there was a definite but in there.

Nothing's been said officially by Burnley either but Owen Coyle is known to be a big fan of the left winger, he's also known to be very keen to sign a left winger, and it would be no surprise to see us make another move for Driver during the next few days.

Driver said this week: "I haven't heard anything from the club or anyone else so just need to get my head down and keep working hard and get on with it. I'm still only 20, have loads of improving to do am looking forward to getting back to playing after missing the last bit of last season through injury.

"I am a Hearts player and I want to concentrate on getting fit for the new season. I want to do the best I can in my career and want to improve as much as I can. If I can do that, then maybe the chance will come to play in England.

"Obviously it is a boost that someone is interested and shows I'm maybe doing something right but I just want to keep improving as a footballer."

I think there's still some mileage in this one and do suspect that Coyle will still be trying to get this particular left winger.
