Driver move off says Laws

Burnley have made two substantial offers for Driver, both of which have been turned down by Hearts, and Laws will now switch attention to other targets to fill the wing position.

"We have made our interest in Driver perfectly clear and have offered some very significant sums," the Clarets' boss said, adding: "I have to say now that enough is enough.

"The latest offer was very significant indeed when you consider he is a guy who hasn't played a lot over the past year and is currently injured."

Some have suggested this is similar to the situation when Burnley tried to wrestle Marcus Tudgay from Sheffield Wednesday last summer, with the boot now firmly on the other foot as far as Laws is concerned.

That is clearly not the case at all though. Wednesday repeatedly said that Tudgay was not for sale and that they wanted to keep the player. Now, with Driver, Hearts have hardly made it a secret that they expect the player to be sold and are actively encouraging it whilst demanding a fee way above what they can expect.

It appears Driver is keen on the move and will be disappointed with the latest news.
