The 20-year-old who has just won the SPL club's young player of the year award was one of the names constantly being bandied around during the transfer window and reports from Scotland this morning have revealed that we've had an offer of £500,000 turned down for him.

Driver was given a long term deal at Tynecastle just a year ago and any decision there will rest with owner Vladimir Romanov but it is expected they won't consider anything under £750,000 and could even be reluctant to do business at that price.

Hearts are his only club but Driver is Oldham born and moved to Scotland with his family during is later school days, settling in Berwick. He joined Hearts from Huchie Vale and made his debut for them at the beginning of the 2005/06 season. He is currently two years into a five year deal.vDriver once scored for Scotland schools against England schools in a Victory Shield game but he couldn't play for Scotland at any other level and has been considered for the England Under-21 side.

Whether the Clarets make another offer remains to be seen.
