Dobbo unveils honours board

Current Burnley internationals Steven Caldwell, Michael Duff, Joey Gudjonsson and Steven Fletcher were joined by manager Owen Coyle and former Clarets Adam Blacklaw, John Connelly and Jimmy McIlroy in watching Martin Dobson cut the ribbon to officially unveil the board which is on the right hand side of the foyer.

The first name on the board is that of Jack Yates. He scored a hat trick whilst winning his first and only England cap and was our first international. The most recent is Andre Bikey who played for Cameroon in their recent friendly against Angola.

Dobson was the last Burnley player to play for England but the list contains sixty players who have represented ten different countries. Apart from the four home countries we've had internationals from Trinidad & Tobago, Greece, Jamaica, Albania, Iceland and Cameroon.

From 1984 to 2000 there were no Burnley players made international appearances with Phil Gray becoming the first for sixteen years when he was recalled by Northern Ireland in September 2000. He is one of seventeen Burnley internationals this millennium.

Those players are all shown in the first part of our internationals section on Clarets Mad and their caps are shown by clicking on their respective names.
