Disappointing night for Macca and Falkirk

Falkirk took a 1-0 lead from the first leg to Liechtenstein last night but lost that lead midway through the first half. That's how it finished at ninety minutes but by that time Alex had been substituted, replaced by Ryan Flynn on 59 minutes.

Vaduz scored the winner right on half time in extra time and there was no way back for the SPL club for whom things went worse when Carl Finnigan was sent off after the final whistle as the home side celebrated a 2-1 aggregate win.

It's back to domestic football for Falkirk and Macca is set to make his SPL debut at Ibrox against Rangers on the day we play Stoke on the opening day of the Premier League.
