Diallo is a Tractor Boy

The Clarets were hoping to clinch a deal for the Guinea international who arrived at Turf Moor from KV Mechelen in January but his impressive debut obviously caught the eye of Joe Royle.

He stepped in today and clinched a deal that sees Driss sign for the Suffolk club for two years, despite his agent claiming he had a ‘love affair’ with Burnley.

The Tractor Boys have today agreed a £750,000 deal with Portsmouth for Matt Holland and that will enable them to fund the Diallo deal.

Burnley fans will be disappointed, of that there is no doubt, but the offer from Ipswich is believed to be considerably better than Burnley could offer, no surprise when they were able to wipe away around £57 million in debts last week after a deal was made with creditors.
