Dermot at QPR
Since then he's refereed us three times, and despite not winning any of those games we realy haven't had any problems with him whatsoever and I'm sure we hope that will continue tomorrow.
Gallagher has never been a card happy referee and this season has been no different. Apart from one eventful night at Mansfield he's been reasonably quiet and to date he's handed out forty yellow cards and four red cards in twenty games, and in the last four games there have been just four yellow cards.
Of those cards, seventeen of the yellows have gone to home team players, the other twenty-three to away team players, whilst three of the four red cards have gone to home players. Those he's sent off have been Mansfield's Matthew Hamshaw in a 2-2 home draw against Notts County, Claude Davis of Sheffield United as they went down to a 2-0 defeat at Everton, and Fulham's Ian Pearce who gave the penalty away that led to the only goal as they lost at home to Reading.
There's been one more, it couldn't have been more obvious, yet the player's club chose to appeal. We can report that Blackburn Rovers defender Stephane Henchoz did have to serve a suspension after being sent off in their 3-1 home defeat against Newcastle United.
Yes, another Premiership referee, but this is no Mike Riley, and if previous games are anything to go by then we should have no problems at all.
He will be assisted by Michael Bull (Essex) and Gavin Ward (Kent) and the fourth official duties are in the hands of Stephen Tomlinson (Hampshire).(Cheshire).
