Goalkeeper Mark Crossley joined Conference North side Hyde United on work experience on Friday and stepped in for his debut that night for the suspended Jean Paul Ndjebayi in their game at Leigh RMI.

He was the busier of the two keepers in first half and made two stunning saves to keep Hyde level but he had no chance when the home side took the lead with eighteen minutes left. Hyde fought back to earn themselves a point in a 1-1 draw with an equaliser two minutes into stoppage time.

Mark was the only former Claret in Hyde's starting line up although John O'Kane and Tony Ellis were both named as substitutes whilst Gerry Harrison is also with the club.

The following day saw Marc Pugh make his Football League debut after being named as substitute for Bury in their home local derby against Rochdale. Pughy was named as a substitute but with ten minutes to go he replaced loanee Lewis Golbern as Bury won the game 2-1.
