D-Day for Lenny

Lenny Johnrose - his one month contract comes to an end tomorrow
Lenny was signed on Friday 23rd August on the eve of the home game against Sheffield United and had appeared in every league game since, either starting or as a sub, until being left out of the squad for the game against Bradford City on Saturday.

This gave rise to speculation that his stay at Turf Moor wouldn’t be continued but it has to be remembered that he was left out of the squad against Blackpool before winning his place back when Paul Weller picked up his groin injury.

Stan has said he will make his decision tomorrow so Lenny can only wait to see whether we are going to offer him another month or even longer or for the second time this year say goodbye.

With Steve Davis back and the club also confirming Gordon Armstrong’s fitness today the numbers are growing and that would suggest the more likely decision will be to part with Lenny.

Whichever way the decision goes we will know some time tomorrow.
