Davis takes charge

Phil Hughes - will assist Steve Davis
Gardening leave at this time of the year is probably snow shifting and that's what he'll have to do until Burnley clear any move to Bolton. There has been no news of either Sandy Stewart or John Henry, tipped to go with Coyle.

Davis will be assisted by goalkeeper coach Phil Hughes on Saturday as the Burnley search for a new manager gets underway and this will be his second game in charge of the Clarets. The last time was back in November 2007 when he led us to a 1-0 win at Leicester with Andy Gray scoring the goal.

By the following week, ironically a home game against Stoke, new manager Owen Coyle was in place.

I'm sure everyone will get behind Steve, Phil and all the players as we look to get a first win since October against a Stoke side who beat Fulham last night.
