Davis in charge for Leicester game

Davis played in our first ever game there just over five years ago, and now after just two games in his new role as assistant manager he has taken another step up to stand in for the departed Steve Cotterill.

There's absolutely no doubt that Steve, a big Turf Moor favourite, will get the support of those Burnley fans travelling to Leicester as he looks to get the Clarets back to winning ways. He'll have goalkeeper coach Phil Hughes in the dug out assisting him but it isn't clear as yet whether anyone else will be drafted in, possibly Head of Youth Development Vince Overson.

Davis said today that it was a great honour and privilege to be given this opportunity and added that he would give it 150% on Saturday. By that time we might just be clearer on the way forward for the Clarets after Barry Kilby and Brendan Flood have spoken.
