Darlington say no to Bally

The Quakers are struggling in 19th place in Division Three and Taylor is looking to strengthen his squad. He has already held talks with Bally but has now decided not to progress things given the sort of money Bally was looking for.

Taylor said, "I spoke to Kevin a couple of weeks ago but he wasn't fit enough to train with us. We've also told him that we wouldn't pay what he was asking for. We still want to get another two players in though and we're still looking."

Bally hasn’t played since leaving the Clarets last April other than captaining Sunderland in the Masters competition. He said then that he was keen to find himself another club, that he wanted to carry on playing. Whether the chance to play for Darlington is still there remains to be seen.
