Dalglish at Burnley

It was not though the former Liverpool and Scottish international Kenny but his son Paul who is on the look out for a new club after being released by Norwich City. He ended last season with Wigan Athletic after a second loan spell there but they decided against signing him on a permanent basis after Norwich decided there would be no new contract.

He certainly hasn't proved himself to be in the same class as his dad although he did start his career on the same path with Celtic before moving on to Liverpool. He didn't make a single first team appearance for either club.

From there he moved to Newcastle on a free transfer, signed by his dad, and whilst at St. James Park he had a loan spell with Bury where he played in twelve First Division games although eleven of those were as a substitute. His manager during that loan spell at Gigg Lane was Stan Ternent.

A loan spell at Norwich ended with the Canaries paying £300,000 for his services but in three years with the club he has scored just two goals in thirty-eight league appearances. He joined Wigan on loan in March 2001 until the end of that season and then spent virtually all last season at the JJB on a long term loan.

In all he has made just 101 league appearances and has found the net on only 5 occasions in those games. He is training with us just now but there has been no indication as yet whether there is the possibility of a deal should be impress.
