Firstly the current players and we can expect David Edgar to rejoin the squad any time soon. Edgar has not been with the Clarets so far in pre-season due to his involvement in the CONCACAF Gold Cup with Canada.
That came to an end on Sunday when they played their last group game against Panama at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High which is in Denver, Colorado. Canada had lost their previous games against Martinique (1-0) and Mexico (2-0) but got their best result against eventual group winners Panama, holding them to a 0-0 draw.
As Panama and Mexico qualify for the quarter finals from that group it means Edgar returns to East Lancashire although speculation suggests two other players may be on their way out.
We haven't seen Dane Richards much at all. After two substitute appearances, at Barnsley in the FA Cup and the home league game against Huddersfield, he was loaned out to Norwegian club FK Bodø/Glimt in April.
I'd assumed he would be there until the end of their season at the beginning of November and could then rejoin Burnley in the January 2014 transfer window but news from Norway this week suggests he will be making it his permanent home after having his Turf Moor contract terminated.
Bodø/Glimt director Bjørn Tore Hansen confirmed no deal had been finalised but was confident. "Yes, I think that will solve itself, but things are not in place at the moment," he said, adding: "If everything goes as we hope Richards is in place at practice on Friday."
He might not be the only winger leaving. George Porter is rumoured to be signing for League Two AFC Wimbledon on loan. He's still to breakthrough at Burnley after signing last summer and spent most of the second half of the season on loan at Colchester.
Again no news from the club, but this was reported by the Hounslow Chronicle, which covers two clubs including Wimbledon, and they appear confident that a loan deal will go through although were unable to provide any details.
Meanwhile two former Burnley players have found themselves new clubs this week. On Monday goalkeeper Nicky Weaver, released by Sheffield Wednesday in May, signed a six month contract with Aberdeen.
Weaver was brought in as cover for the second half of the Premier League season at Burnley and didn't make any first team appearances. But Richard Chaplow did, and he moved to Millwall, where he ended last season, yesterday, after being released by Southampton.
