Crystal Palace vs Burnley Preview: Where to Watch, Live Stream, Kick Off Time, Team News & More

Crystal Palace welcome Burnley to Selhurst Park on Saturday for a crucial Premier League encounter. Roy Hodgson's Palace are on an eight game winless run, and will be desperate to end that torrid run in this relegation ‘six pointer’.

The Eagles will need to register a first home win of the season if they are to triumph over a Burnley side who themselves are without a win in their last six games.

Sean Dyche’s side have failed to replicate their high flying exploits of last season and sit just one place above the relegation zone, with Palace only above the Clarets on goal difference.

Head to Head Record

The two sides have met six times in recent years in the Premier League but it's Burnley who hold the upper hand in this fixture since they returned to the top flight in 2016.

They have won three of the four games in that time, including a 2-0 win at Selhurst Park in April 2017.

The most recent game between the sides also took place in south London with Palace coming out on top in a 1-0 win, a result Roy Hodgson would be delighted with this weekend.

Recent Form

Both sides currently sit on nine points in the Premier League table with Palace only ahead of Burnley on goal difference.

Palace haven't conceded as many goals recently as their opponents, but they still only boast one more point in their last five games.

Defeats to Chelsea and Tottenham have come in their last five games, but they can take heart from their 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal and particularly from their most recent game, the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.

A four goal defeat against Chelsea and a five goal thrashing at the hands of Manchester City was the start of Burnley's poor run.

Since then only the goalless draw with Leicester has provided any points for Dyche's men.

This is how the two sides have performed in their last five games:

Crystal Palace Burnley
Manchester United 0-0 Crystal Palace (24/11) Burnley 1-2 Newcastle United (26/11)
Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur (10/11) Leicester City 0-0 Burnley (10/11)
Chelsea 3-1 Crystal Palace (04/11)  West Ham 4-2 Burnley (03/11)
Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal (08/10) Burnley 0-4 Chelsea (28/10)
Everton 2-0 Crystal Palace (21/10)
Manchester City 5-0 Burnley (20/10)

Prediction

This is a big game for both sides and could be one that they both look back on at the end of the season and pick out as a pivotal moment in their campaign. Both will be desperate for the win, but with Palace continually struggling to score goals, particularly at home, you have to say it will be another tough afternoon for their supporters.

With the margins being so tight this one could well end up being a draw as a defeat for either side will send them into the busy Christmas schedule potentially in the relegation zone.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Burnley
