Reports this morning suggest Burnley boss Owen Coyle wants to bring in Manchester United's young Scottish right back David Gray to boost his squad and is trying to raise the money.

The 20-year-old Scotland Under-21 international is from Edinburgh and signed professional terms with United at the beginning of the 2005/06 season and having joined the club as a winger has played in a variety of positions before settling in at right back.

As he progressed he should have gone to Royal Antwerp on loan but a serious injury put an end to that, but last season he joined Crewe in a loan deal but played only one game for them at Nottingham Forest.

His only first team action with United came at Crewe in 2006/07 when he played the first 77 minutes of a League Cup tie which United won 2-1 after extra time.

It is the second time in recent weeks that we have been linked with him, but we can't make a move for any player now, permanent or loan, until the beginning of 2009.
