French under-21 striker Frédéric Nimani is expected to leave his current club AS Monaco during the next transfer window and the Burnley boss is keen to bring him to Turf Moor on loan with a view to a permanent move.

Nimani stands at 6ft 3ins and would offer the Clarets a different option up front. He's been linked with a number of English and Spanish clubs over the past year and it did look for a while as though Birmingham boss Alex McLeish was going to sign him in the summer.

However, Tony Mowbray is also keen to take him to Celtic and hopes now seem to rest with us having the lure of the Premier League in England.

That's the same for American Ricardo Clark who is currently playing his football in his homeland with Houston Dynamo. The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has previously played for Metro Stars and San Jose Earthquakes.

Again it looks to be a battle between Burnley and Celtic with the Clarets boss again keen to secure a loan deal.
