Coxy gets offer

For one of them there is already an early opportunity to stay in the First Division with Gillingham having offered Ian Cox a deal.

Gills’ boss Andy Hessenthaler has said that he will be concentrating all his efforts on the defence this summer and has already named the three players he would like to bring in.

There’s Bradford left back Andy Myers and two central defenders in Ian Cox and Watford captain Neil Cox.

Things have moved quickly and the former Burnley central defender has already met with Gillingham and they have made him an offer, in fact they have made an offer to his namesake Neil as well.

Whether Coxy chooses to take up the offer or whether he decides to wait and see what other opportunities there are remains to be seen but Gillingham are confident that they can get their man.
