Cotterill keen on Saganoswki

Some of the national media were suggesting that we've offered £1 million for a player who still has two years remaining on his contract and manager Steve Cotterill has now confirmed that interest although the Saints remain favourites to sign him.

The Clarets' boss didn't give any indication as to what we'd offered, he only confirmed the interest. Saganowski right now, according to his agent Jaroslaw Kolakowski, would prefer to return to the south coast with George Burley's team.

The problem there is that Southampton currently aren't able to raise the money to sign the player but are hoping a takeover will go through that would make it possible, in fact the muted takeover would make them an extremely wealthy club.

Kolakoswki has admitted that time could go against the Saints and that if they aren't able to come up with the package soon then his player could move elsewhere, and that could mean Turf Moor although in the last couple of days Leicester too have shown an interest in him.
