Onto the player ratings, and such was the performance that not one single player reached a rating of 6 which is for an average performance, meaning those who got the points here were those whose below average performances were better than the rest.
Tyrone Mears took top spot with a rating of 5.76 out of 10 and that was just ahead of Cork and goalkeeper Brian Jensen who both had a rating of 5.74 out of 10.
As always the points have been awarded with Jack Cork winning five points, three to Mears, two each for Eagles and Jensen with Elliott getting one point.
That has made a difference to the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with Cork now going into second place, four points ahead of Andre Bikey and seven behind leader Chris Eagles.
Voting is currently underway following our Carling Cup game at Aston Villa. Please note that voting for the man of the match for this game will run until the end of Saturday meaning the QPR man of the match vote will not start until Sunday.
