Contracts for youth players confirmed

The three players in question are Earl Davis, Andrew Leeson and Andrew Waine who have all completed their scholarships successfully at Burnley and are now all set to join the full time squad. All three of them will be too old to play in the Youth Alliance League next season.

We brought you the contract news three weeks ago but for whatever reason the club chose not to release the information until the youth team had completed their fixtures. The final game was played last Saturday at Chester.

There has been no confirmation as to what length of contract the players will be getting or as to whether they have as yet agreed to sign them but it is good news that these three players are being offered terms to continue at the Turf.

Mark Rasmussen joined the club last summer on an initial one year deal but nothing has been said since. He was not mentioned when the retained list was announced but we believe that Mark is to be offered another one year deal.

Welsh schoolboy Rhys Carpenter will also be joining the club full time before the start of next season. Although only 16 years-old Rhys will not be joining the club as a scholar. He has already signed a full time deal and will join the Clarets with a three year contract.
