Concerns for Ings

Ings had the knee scanned yesterday and the result of that is that he will now see a specialist for further assessment.

It's just under a year ago, within days of his arrival at Burnley, that he suffered a cartilage injury that kept him out until he made a reserve debut for us at Chorley in January of this year. Now it looks as though there could be damage to his other knee.

He's almost certainly ruled out of next Tuesday's cup tie at Port Vale. With Martin Paterson and, very likely, Sam Vokes on international duty it leaves us with a real shortage of strikers ahead of the big kick off.
