COME ON YOU CLARETS

Each and everyone of us has had our say on Saturday’s shambles at Coventry and the ill conceived trip to Marbella but we have to consign all that to history. From today we have another ten games to win enough points to ensure that we are not relegated.

I do not know a single Burnley supporter who wants to be relegated, we are all desperate to stay up for so many reasons and although we cannot pick the team or go out there and play we can, all of us, do our bit to help by getting behind the team.

In recent games some players have been booed off after poor performances, some have even been booed on coming on as subs and incredibly a couple of players have received the treatment after winning man of the match awards.

We all know that there are some players at Burnley who will never be able to do right for some of the Turf Moor crowd, they don’t need to be named, but right now the future of our club is far more important than that.

There is no doubt that we are going to be out shouted tonight by a big home crowd but we can make ourselves heard to give our players a boost and we have to do just that for each of the remaining games just as we have to demand that the players give it their best.

We’re not in the bottom three, we haven’t been there all season, and we don’t want to go there now.

It could be a trip to Leeds next season but there again it could be a trip to Doncaster. I know which I would prefer and I am sure none of you would choose the alternative.

So let’s give it what we’ve got and see where it takes us – Division One football next season.

COME ON YOU
