Come as a Claret – and wear your scarf

There have been suggestions of fancy dress and even Jeff Brown dressing up as a wizard but the supporters behind the idea for a singing section don’t want any of that and would prefer to return to the traditional ideas of a football ground for this particular night.

Get rid of the flags, and the cheerleaders and the goal music etc. and let’s have a real traditional football ground atmosphere provided by the singing and chanting and the banter with the away fans.

The fans will show, when the Clarets score, that they can go much further than 500 Miles with the real style celebrations.

Make it real Burnley FC and Clarets Mad are asking people to come on such a traditional night as real tradition football fans. Wear your colours, and don’t forget to wear your scarf. Let’s get scarves aloft all round the ground.

We don’t need wizards or any other fancy dress ideas – this is a football match with a return to some traditional values.

So come as a Claret – and wear your scarf
