Cole scored the second goal, chased Darren Purse and had an all round excellent game and was always going to be one of the two leading candidates alongside Clarke Carlisle to win the Man of the Match Poll and the player ratings thread. He won both with Carlisle right behind him in second place on both.

He polled 40.6% of the vote for man of the match whilst Carlisle took second place with 31.5% of the vote. Robbie Blake, playing on the left, finished third with 6.5% of the vote.

It was the same top three in the player ratings thread on the message board. Cole topped it with a rating of 8.04 out of 10 with Carlisle second with 7.65 and Blake third with 6.62.

Robbie was the only player able to catch Wade Elliott in our Player of the Year but he needed a full six points from this game and also from this coming week's game at Crystal Palace. He's now slipped to third with Wade now ten points ahead of Carlisle with the one game to go.
