Cole on the brink at Forest

Cole has been unhappy at the lack of opportunities since he joined his home town club in the summer and recently spoke out about spending more time on the bench than he was on the pitch.

Last Saturday he didn't even make the sixteen and it appears that has brought things to a head and reports this morning suggest the announcement has been delayed only until such time as the financial terms can be agreed.

Cole, who scored six times for the Clarets on loan during the second half of last season, has played eleven times for Forest although six of those appearances have been from the bench as a substitute. He's not scored for them in any of those games and his last goal remains the one he got for us against Cardiff in the last home game of last season.
