The club say they have reacted after several complaints following the Wolves game when coins and sweets were thrown, some of them at the assistant referee.

But hang on, back in January missiles were thrown at an opposing player as he was stretchered from the field following an injury. This included an aerosol can but nothing was said.

Against Norwich the assistant referee was clearly hit by a missile but nothing was said, there have also been complaints sent to the club regarding racist chanting from that area but again nothing was said.

So what's different this time? The club have, quite rightly, been reported to the FA by the referee from the Wolves game. This is probably the only decision Barry Knight got right all afternoon. Extra stewards and police will be utilised now and anyone caught will immediately receive a life ban.

All I can say is about time Burnley Football Club but surely it should not have had to wait until a report went in to the FA before some public comment was made. This could and certainly should have been dealt with some time ago. If that had been the case then it is probable that the problem would by now have been resolved.
