Clarets would like Rhys back

Rhys Williams
He was with the Clarets from the end of January until the end of the league season on loan and at the time we signed him Coyle confirmed that he had tried to bring him in on a permanent basis.

That was when Middlesbrough were a Premier League club and we were in the Championship. Now the roles are reversed and a move to Burnley for the Welsh Under-21 international would be a step up.

On the day he joined the Clarets he signed a long term deal with Boro and so there would be a sizeable fee to pay for the player who played seventeen league games for the Clarets with only two of them ending in defeat.

I think this one is very much a case of watch this space. Speculation it may well be at the moment but I think Rhys Williams is one player Owen Coyle would definitely want to bring to Turf Moor.
