Clarets win Performance of the Week Award

Last updated : 14 November 2008 By Tony Scholes
This award comes from the League Managers Association and the winners are selected by a panel made up of Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.

This week the decision was unanimous and the award, a specially engraved crystal football, will be presented to Owen Coyle on Sky Soccer Saturday tomorrow afternoon.

The last time Burnley won this award was in October 2004, and that was for the performance that saw us beat Aston Villa in the third round of the Carling Cup 3-1 with goals from Graham Branch, Mo Camara and Jean-Louis Valois.
