Clarets to take a look at French trialist

The 29-year-old Parisian who can play either as a right winger or in a more central role behind the strikers, is out of contract at Paris St. Germain where he's been for the last five years.

He started his career with Louhans-Cuiseaux before moving on to Guingamp and then Le Mans before arriving at PSG. In five years he's been in and out of the side and has often been used as a substitute and he's been loaned out on two occasions to Spanish club Real Betis and to Souchaux.

His lack of regular first team action didn't put off Hull boss Phil Brown last summer. He offered a million for him but Pancrate turned the move down. He also said no to an opportunity to join Everton during the January window.

At the time Pancrate said: "Anything can still happen but, starting this winter, it is not a good idea to leave. Paris are ranked well in Ligue 1 and have qualified in all the cup competitions. It would be foolish to leave now and I don't really want to. But I cannot control everything.

"With the financial crisis, perhaps the club will want to sell some of their players whose contracts expire in June, like mine. I hope that this will not happen because I enjoy playing in Paris."

No to Hull and Everton, but Pancrate is now heading to England and to Burnley to try and win a Premier League deal.
