Clarets to invade Eastern Europe

This move is all in the hands of director John Sullivan who will be flying out on 4th December in a bid to link up with top clubs in the two countries.

Sullivan has extensive business contacts in Eastern Europe and has been granted an unlimited visa by the Russian Minister of Sport to help speed up the process.

He said today: "It is important that we try to cast our net far and wide to recruit young talent to this club. I have many contacts in that part of the world, including business associates of President Mr Vladimir Putin, and I see this trip as another important avenue in progressing our youth system towards the ultimate goal of Academy Status."

Our youth development is extending. We previously had centres and contacts in a number of countries and are continuing to widen the search for new young talent to bring into the club.
