Worldnet- the showpiece weekend of the IFA Supporters League season kicked off yesterday with an England v Scotland international. Burnley players Ric Davies and Brad Mansell both earned their first caps for England, and Clarets captain and goalkeeper Will O'Neill made his first appearance for the Scots.

The game started brightly with Scotland taking the lead courtesy of a neat finish from the edge of the box. But soon after it was Ric who raised the stakes in the pride battle between the Burnley players. Picking up the ball on the half way line he ran past the whole Scots defence and cooled slotted past Will to make it 1-1.

Scotland regained the lead before the break after a cheeky quick free kick caught the England keeper off guard.

Brad came on at half time and had the chance to bring the scores level again with a penalty but this time it was Will to come out on top with a smart save. But Ric made up for it in the final minutes with a quality strike from distance, to make the score 2-2 which is how the game finished.

All in all it was a fantastic game for Burnley, with two scorers for England and a great performance and penalty save for Will.

BST start our campaign this morning and will update fans on the message board.
