It all started with the Turf Moor clash in the 2000/01 season, a 3-0 win for the Clarets, and shown live on a Friday night. Last season both the home and away game were shown on ITV Digital with a Sunday lunchtime kick off at Deepdale followed by a Sunday evening kick off on the Turf. Both again were won by the Clarets.
This time the game will be played on the original date, Saturday 2nd November, with the kick off time changed to 5:35 p.m. which is to be a regular slot for Nationwide League games on Sky.
The switch is not yet confirmed and is subject to clearance from the Lancashire Constabulary but Preston North End expect the confirmation next week. A performance and result similar to our last visit there would go down very nicely indeed.
