David Edgar - could be involved in a swap deal
The 25-year-old Wolverhampton born Williams was a youth team player with West Brom but it was with Stockport where he made his league debut, making his debut in 2003. He went on to play over 160 games for them before a loan move to Swansea in March 2008.

That move was made permanent in the summer and he's since gone on to play over 90 games for the Swans whilst also making a debut for Wales for whom he has now played 19 times. He has played in all but one of Swansea's Championship games since they were promoted in 2008.

Edgar is currently on loan with Swansea until the end of the season. He won a place in the Burnley side in January, making his Premier League debut for us at Manchester United. Having played four times he lost his place and has gone to Swansea to get some games.

He made his debut for Swansea yesterday against Ipswich, playing alongside Williams in the centre of the defence. They kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw.

It is suggested that there could be a swap deal in the summer that would bring Williams to Turf Moor with Edgar making his move to Swansea a permanent one.
