Clarets look for experience

Ronnie Moore - stll one of the favourites
A number of names have been mentioned over the last week or so who could be likely candidates including former Clarets Kevin Ball and Micky Phelan and current Claret David May.

All three have been ruled out by Kilby who has stressed that there will be no Adrian Heath or Chris Waddle style appointment but someone with previous management experience.

The brilliant news is that, in a change of direction, he is looking for a manager who will play a major role in the redevelopment of the youth system at Turf Moor. Just a couple of years ago Stan and Barry were at odds on this one with Stan keen to close it down and rely on Premiership cast offs rather than develop our own players.

We are of the opinion that both Brian Flynn and Steve McMahon are not in the running. Colin Lee and Steve Cotterill are though possibilities although Ronnie Moore and Eric Black still look to be the favourites to take over.
