Clarets loan out two goalkeepers in one day

Nizic (pictured) was first; he has signed a one month deal with Conference North club Chorley, his second loan since joining the Clarets in the summer of 2013 having spent a period with Workington in the same league last season.

Chorley face Halifax in the FA Cup tomorrow but were dealt a blow last night when first choice goalkeeper Sam Ashton found himself ruled out for several weeks after a freak accident resulted in him suffering two broken ribs.

Nizic is expected to go straight into the squad for the tie against a Halifax team who are currently just behind Barnet at the top of the Conference Premier Division.

He'll be with Chorley until 22nd November, and that's how long Alex Cisak will be at York after completing a similar loan move today.

Cisak also joined Burnley in the summer of last  year and was Tom Heaton's understudy throughout last season, making just the one start against Preston when Heaton was suspended following his red card at Brighton, a game that saw Cisak make his only other first team appearance as a substitute.

With the signing of Matt Gilks in the summer, he's been out of the first team squad and will now join a York side that is struggling at the wrong end of League Two, just one place above the drop zone.

Alex is the second Burnley player this season to be signed by our former assistant manager Russ Wilcox. He took Luke O'Neill to Scunthorpe for three months but recently lost his job there and quickly got back, replacing Nigel Worthington at York.

York are at home to Mansfield tomorrow with Cisak expected to go straight into the squad to challenge current first choice Michael Ingham.
