Clarets linked with Severin

Severin is out of contract in the summer and it appears that Aberdeen aren't able to offer him a new deal suggesting that Burnley will make him an offer.

However, given the current crop in our midfield, added to recently with both Chris Anderson and Alex-Ray Harvey getting pro deals, it hardly seems likely that we would sign a 30-year-old in that area.

Severin has been with Aberdeen since the summer of 2004 after previously having played for Hearts. He was also appointed captain at Pittodrie following the departure of Russell Anderson.

He's also made fourteen appearances for Scotland, the last of them in 2006.
