Clarets linked with Kalvenes

The 31-year-old was always set to leave Tannadice this summer but it was expected that he'd return home to Norway where he had spent his entire career before arriving in Scotland two years ago.

He started his career with SK Brann before going on to play for Åsane and Sogndal before returing to Brann in 2003. He then signed for Dundee United in August 2006 for a fee of £50,000 and has gone on to play over fifty games for them.

There were reports last January that he would return home and two months later the player said it was a possibility but said it was a difficult decision. He confirmed those plans later but now looks as though he could be heading for Turf Moor.
