Clarets leave sunshine island with a win

Robbie Blake - scored first goal
The Clarets went one up after 13 minutes with a goal from Robbie Blake from 25 yards out following a free kick and Glen Little double the lead ten minutes before half time with a goal following a Lee Roche cross.

Burnley looked much more up for it and were full value for their victory which will see them return home in good spirits and ready to take on Leeds at the Turf on Sunday lunchtime.

The two French trialists made the bench but didn't come on whilst Delaney wasn't even named as a substitute. It is considered unlikely that Stan will use any of them in the remaining friendly fixtures.

So we come home after a draw (with a penalty shoot out win), a defeat and now a victory with the league season now just 15 days away.

We lined up:

Brian Jensen, Lee Roche (Dean West), Graham Branch, Arthur Gnohere, Mo Camara, Glen Little, Paul Weller, Richard Chaplow (Tony Grant), Ian Moore, Gareth Taylor, Robbie Blake (Matt O'Neill).
