Clarke Carlisle - one of three players sent off twice
Over last season we received 85 yellow cards and no fewer than 10 red cards and that was the worst record in the Championship, and for that record the FA fined us yesterday an immediate £10,000 with a further £10,000 suspended.

Three of our players were sent off twice - Kyle Lafferty, Joey Gudjonsson and Clarke Carlisle - in a season that saw us receive more red cards than in any season since the relegation in 1994/95.

The suspended fine will last for the next year and will be dependent on our disciplinary record over the 2008/09 season.

Other clubs to receive fines were Middlesbrough (£20,000 plus £30,000 suspended), Darlington (£3,000 plus £5,000 suspended) and Macclesfield £3,000 suspended).
