Kevin McDonald
Kevin McDonald - completed the scoring
We were 3-0 up at half time. Chris McCann opened the scoring on 14 minutes and there were further first half goals from Chris Eagles (26) and a Steven Fletcher penalty four minutes from half time.

Two further goals were added in the second half, the first from a trialist on 69 minutes (I think we can take a good guess that it was Fernando Guerrero) and Kevin McDonald wrapped it up with the fifth with nine minutes remaining.

Again Owen Coyle made good use of his squad although on this occasion five of the players weren't used including four of those who started the game at Wembley back in May.

Steven Thompson, who was forced to miss the game at Morecambe following the injury sustained at Bradford, was back and played the first half but Martin Paterson didn't feature at all because of a tight hamstring.

The teams were;

VC Fusion: Hill, Dillon, Guzman, Motalgalvan, Riley, Smarte, Barrera, Byrne, Chirishian, Guei, Hamilton, Aghasyan.

Burnley (first half): Brian Jensen, Richard Eckersley, Michael Duff, David Edgar, Brian Easton, Trialist, Joey Gudjonsson, Chris McCann, Chris Eagles, Steven Thompson, Steven Fletcher.

Burnley (second half): Diego Penny, Richard Eckersley, Stephen Jordan, Michael Duff Brian Easton, Chris Eagles (Robbie Blake 61), Kevin McDonald, Joey Gudjonsson (Remco van der Schaaf 61), Trialist, Steven Fletcher, Jay Rodriguez.
