Chris McCann - went off injured
The game kicked off at 10:00 a.m. in the UK, but with Singapore seven hours ahead that meant a tea-time kick off against the side who currently sit fifth in the Singapore 'S' League.

Brian Laws used all but two of the travelling players, only Martin Paterson and Wes Fletcher missing out on some action.

The game was played in high temperatures and heavy humidity, making it difficult for the Clarets who are still acclimatising after the weekend journey from England. It mean a slow start when we could have gone behind.

However, we soon got into our stride and the only real problem in the first half was Chris McCann being forced off with an injury. Thankfully, the news is good and it is nothing serious.

He was replaced by Wade Elliott who was involved when the Clarets went in front just before half time. He played in Dean Marney who in turn found Ross Wallace for the former Sunderland and Preston winger to score easily from just eight yards out.

Almost immediately after the restart the lead was doubled by Chris Eagles, who received the ball from Wallace, played it over the full back and finished well. He was then the architect of the third, working well with Tyrone Mears, before seeing his cross headed home by Chris Iwelumo.

A flurry of substitutions followed but we were soon amongst the goals again. Steven Thompson scored with a diving header, yet again the ball in coming from Eagles, and we wrapped it up with a soft penalty that was converted by Jay Rodriguez.

The last of the substitutions saw Craig Mawson replace Brian Jensen, and I think possibly his first appearance in Burnley's first team since a pre-season friendly at Halifax in 1998.

The Burnley team was: Brian Jensen (Criag Mawson 76), Tyrone Mears (Richard Eckersley 67), Clarke Carlisle (Leon Cort 64), Andre Bikey (Michael Duff 64), Brian Easton (Danny Fox 45), Graham Alexander (David Edgar 67), Dean Marney (Kevin McDonald 64), Chris McCann (Wade Elliott 34), Chris Eagles (Jay Rodriguez 64), Chris Iwelumo (Steven Thompson 64), Ross Wallace (Alex-Ray Harvey 67).
