Clarets get TV home game

The Clarets were due to take on North End on Saturday 28th October at Turf Moor but the Sky cameras will be here and that means the game will be brought forward to the Friday night, 27th October, kicking off at 7:45 p.m.

It won't be the first Burnley v Preston game to be screened live, there were three in four seasons shown on live television including the resounding 3-0 win in April 2001 and the 2-1 victory the following year when Paul Gascoigne arrived and we had the streaker and Bertie Bee attraction.

As we reported yesterday, the Norwich game is on the same weekend as the televised game at Wolves last season and this game against Preston will be played on the same weekend as the televised home game against Hull last season.
