Clarets get some money for Arthur

Nothing was disclosed at the time but we have now received a £75,000 payment following QPR’s promotion to Division One and will receive the same amount in a year’s time should they avoid relegation.

Arthur went straight into the QPR side and made the position his own until suspension and injury ruled him out in April.

He was back via the bench for the final game at Sheffield Wednesday as they clinched their promotion and that has won Arthur a Turf Moor return next season when he will be guaranteed an excellent reception.

It will be an interesting return too should it come late in the season and with QPR in desperate need of points to stay up.

Burnley would be edging closer to that next £75,000 and would presumably prefer the London club to stay up if we were safe somewhere in the middle of the table.
