Clarets find yet another home venue

Terry Pashley - his youth team will play at Rossendale
The Clarets’ Lancashire FA Youth Cup tie against Blackpool was called off last month, it should have been played on Monday 10th January, and it has now been re-scheduled for next Monday 7th February but will be played at Rossendale United’s Dark Lane ground.

It won’t be a first appearance for some of the young Clarets there, earlier in the season our first reserve match, away to Rochdale, was played there and ended in a heavy 4-1 defeat.

It is further bad news for the traditionalists amongst us who would much prefer to see us play home games exactly where they should play them, on the Turf. Five reserve games and one youth game have been played there this season, they can hardly be blamed for the state of the pitch.

I fear we might never return, one local newspaper said that all reserve games would now be played at Accrington. Who knows, it could be Colne or Clitheroe next.
