Clarets clear of suspensions

Mo Camara - back after serving a one match ban
They were the last to receive bans for five yellow cards, had they not been booked at Millwall both would have escaped after the cut off date.

Camara’s absence on Saturday means only goalkeeper Brian Jensen is now an ever present and that is a situation that is almost certain to remain until the end of the season despite him having another shaky time on Saturday as the goals went in during the first half of our X-rated performance at Coventry.

It is almost certain that Camara will come back into the side at the expense of Alan Moore who filled in at left-back and with Paul Weller not best equipped for a place on the left hand side of midfield it would be no surprise to see Branchy back on the left hand side.

Neil Wood and Luke Chadwick were both doubtful for Saturday but were both passed fit although it isn’t likely on current form that either of them will be given a starting place and almost certainly both will be on the bench.

It looks as though it will be the same eleven who started the game against Preston with the two players left off the bench being the two Saturday debutants Paul Scott and Ryan Townsend.

I expect the Clarets to line up:

Brian Jensen, Dean West, David May, Mark McGregor, Mo Camara, Glen Little, Richard Chaplow, Tony Grant, Graham Branch, Robbie Blake, Ian Moore. Subs: Nathan Abbey, Paul Weller, Neil Wood, Luke Chadwick, Alan Moore.

Two of Forest’s former Burnley players have been in the news this week. Danny Sonner has been called up for the Northern Ireland squad by new manager Lawrie Sanchez whilst David Johnson scored his first goal since coming back from his broken leg in Forest’s 3-2 reserve defeat against Charlton at the Valley.

Johnno will almost certainly be in the squad tonight but will probably be on the bench where he is likely to step things up with an appearance somewhat longer than the five minutes he got on Saturday.

The one player definitely out of the Forest side is big signing flop Marlon King. The £950,000 capture from Gillingham has struggled and was, along with Gareth Taylor, the target for the fans during the bad run. He is currently out suspended after trading punches with BRBC’s Jason Gavin leaving red card fanatic referee Trevor Kettle little choice but to get his favourite card out again.

Elsewhere the concerns are with the two loan players from Leicester Alan Rogers and Andy Impey. Rogers was substituted during their win against Palace due to a toe injury and he is considered doubtful. Des Walker is expected to deputise if he does miss out.

Rogers though should return after missing Saturday’s game through illness.

Kinnear will probably select the following side:

Barry Roche, Matthieu Louis-Jean, Wes Morgan, Michael Dawson, Des Walker, Danny Sonner, Gareth Williams, Andy Impey, Andy Reid, Gareth Taylor, Nick Barmby. Subs: Pascal Formann, Craig Westcarr, David Johnson, John Thompson, Eion Jess.
