Clarets back in for Riordan

It's a story that's been running long enough to have been in a Coronation Street script. We know he is a player we want, Owen Coyle has said that and more recently so has Brendan Flood.

But for a while it had gone quiet as a queue of players arrived at Turf Moor last week to boost our squad ahead of the new season. That quiet has today been ended with news in the Edinburgh press that Riordan could be set to end his Celtic nightmare.

The report claims that Celtic and Burnley were in talks last night with a view to Riordan ending his Celtic nightmare and joining the Clarets and he could very well be one of the two players the club were in talks with.

Owen Coyle has said he would like to get all his signings done before they set off for the United States but it would not be a major problem if that didn't happen. Maybe, just maybe, Riordan is finally set for Turf Moor after over six months of him being linked with us.

Meanwhile, in the other big storyline this week, will Rita sell the Kabin?
